Dr. Larry Ousley, PCC







Dr. Larry Ousley  (Larry@LarryOusley.com) is the Executive Director of the Intentional Growth Center (IGC). Before coming to IGC in 2000, he served as senior pastor of three churches of over 1,000 members in the Holston Conference of the UMC. He is a life coach recognized through the International Coach Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) in 2004 and as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) in 2010.  He was the first UM elder in the Southeast to be certified as a coach by ICF, second in the country. Larry is also an Endorsed Life Coach by the United Methodist Endorsing Agency, is a Certified Organizational Relationship Systems Coach (ORSCC), and has served as a faculty member on an ICF approved international coaching school. He is an author in the anthology— Ministry 3.0: How Today’s Church Leaders are Using Coaching to Transform Ministry. Larry has lead approximately 10 long-term group leadership coaching projects and has over 1,500 hours of experience coaching pastors, district superintendents, and conference staff persons.

Dr. JIm Robey, PCC



Dr. Jim Robey is a minister and a Professional Certified Coach, and was the first United Methodist clergy to be officially endorsed for the Ministry of Life Coaching. He is the Executive Director for Attentional Growth Inc., a non-profit organization he founded in 2004. His ministry takes across the United States and the world to work with a variety of church and non-profit groups.

Jim earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a graduate of the Co-Active Leadership Program of the Coaches Training Institute in California. He is passionate about bringing coaching more fully into the church… and beyond into the world. An avid global traveler, who once worked with Mother Teresa in Calcutta, Jim brings a passion for equipping new leaders for the world-wide church.

Dr. Phil Maynard


Dr. Phil Maynard serves as Director, Path 1 Coaching Network (General Board of Discipleship) and Director, Excellence in Ministry Coaching (www.emc3coaching.com ). Phil also serves as a coach/consultant with Epicenter (www.epicentergroup.org ) and partners with other coaches to lead a variety of training and congregational transformation activities.
     Dr. Maynard has led dozens of churches through the process of transformation, has consulted with dozens more, and in addition, now coaches & trains leaders and trains coaches to work in ministry coaching.
     Phil is a certified coach (ICF), an Endorsed coach (UMEA), a certified Conflict/Mediation Coach, and licensed trainer/facilitator.
     Phil is a graduate of Duke Divinity School (M.Div & Th.M); University of Kansas (M.S. Ed); and Drew (D.Min).  He is a contributing author for the Transform One resource (ChurchSmart) and co-author of Discovering the Possibilities.

Dr. Embra Jackson



Reverend Dr. Embra K. Jackson is a native of Jackson, Mississippi - married to Rosia Ousley.  They have four children. He has earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Tugaloo College; an MPA from the University of Mississippi; a Master of Divinity from Interdenominational Theological Center and the Doctor of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary.  He has held several pastoral appointments in the Mississippi Annual Conference. He also served as administrative assistant to the bishop.  Currently he serves as District Superintendent of the Starkville District.  He is a certified coach (CoachNet) and has completed Accelerated Coach training and is completing hours toward International Coach Certification. Rev. Mike Sahler

Rev. Mike Sahler (sahlerm@bellsouth.net) is the Lead Minister at Raymond United Methodist Church, Raymond, MS (2007-Present). Mike is a Full Elder and has been serving churches in Mississippi since 1991, as a Conference Staff Person, Associate Pastor, and Lead Minister. His passions in ministry are Small Group Faith Development, Missions, Preaching, and Congregational Care. Throughout his ministry, Mike has naturally used many coaching skills to encourage others to take their next best step in a life of faith and their personal life. And now, Mike is completing his final hours to fulfill an aspiration of becoming a Certified Life Coach through the International Coach Federation. Mike uses his coaching playbook with his ministry tackle box as he walks with others on a long obedience in the same direction toward God, and to live his personal mission statement: “To Playfully and Joyfully Grow Closer to God and Others!”
